The Journal of Traditional Theatre and Performing Arts is published by the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts. First established in 2007, the journal was subsequently recognized in 2021 and 2024 as a Tier-3 journal in the Taiwan Humanities and Social Sciences Journal Evaluation by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). We sincerely appreciate the support and guidance from scholars and experts, which have enabled the journal to grow steadily over the years.

The journal aims to publish academic papers in both Chinese and English related to traditional theatre and performing arts, including dramatic literature, historical documents, theory, criticism, music, dance, acrobatics, costume and makeup, performance, directing, stagecraft, technology, and education. It is a purely academic journal characterized by a rigorous peer-review system and formal academic writing standards.

We warmly welcome submissions from full-time and part-time faculty members (lecturer level or above) at universities and colleges in Taiwan and abroad, researchers at academic institutions (assistant researcher level or above), and graduate students to contribute their scholarly work and participate in academic exchange.
